The GAMNAA decided to launch a public fund-raising campaign to enable the acquisition of this work (which belonged to a Spanish private collection), making it the first work by Baltazar Gomes Figueira among the Museum's collection.
RESTORATION OF THE "CAPELA DAS ALBERTAS"

Closed for 11 years for security reasons, the Alberta's Chapel, one of the greatest exponents of Portuguese Baroque, reopened in 2020 after a public petition campaign through GAMNAA.
LET´S BRING THE PATIÑO ROOM TO LIFE

With the generous donations of all, through GAMNAA, a conservation and restoration work was carried out on the "boiserie" (gilded woodcarving), the carpet, the furniture, the chimney trim; cleaning of the chandelier; and installation of more adequate lighting.
HELP THE MNAA RESTORE THE "CRIB OF THE MARQUISES OF BELAS"

As part of the public fundraising campaign for the programme that included the restoration of the Alberta's Chapel, the "Crib of the Marquises of Belas" was restored.
Another successful cause, through the GAMNAA.

"Portrait of Friar José Maria da Fonseca Évora", by Maria Felice Tibaldi (1707-1770).
MNAA had the possibility to integrate in the Portuguese heritage this important work of art, painted on ivory, and located in the international market.
A public subscription campaign was carried out through the GAMNAA, wich allowed its inclusion in the Museum's collection.

“THE ADORATION OF THE MAGI” by DOMINGOS SEQUEIRA

On the 30th of April of 6 years ago, so of 2016, the fundraising campaign “Let's Put Sequeira in the Right Place”, one of the many causes of the Grupo dos Amigos do Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, which with the involvement of all Portuguese people, companies, and foundations, this work became part of the MNAA collection.
